Most businesses supply sales
incentives for their employees, but are they ever appreciated or even
wanted? Providing employee reward programs might drive motivation and
enthusiasm or may turn your employees off. If you don’t offer sales
incentives that are worth working towards, don’t offer any at all.
Some sales directors believe employees just want to be recognized
for their efforts, so they offer a plaque or generic certificate to
their “outstanding sales person of the month.” Unfortunately, this type
of sales incentive doesn’t pay the bills, treat them to their favorite
restaurant or give them a much deserved break from the office. Plastic
trinkets and shiny baubles work to motivate kindergartners, but don’t
much impress hard working, dedicated, enthusiastic sales teams.
We put a poll up on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/#!/GoLeads
We’re hoping to find out what truly inspires motivation at the work
place. Sales incentives mean nothing if our employees don’t find value
in them. Please help us discover the best ways to show our appreciation
and recognize our super stars! Participate in the poll. Encourage your
peers to do the same. We’ll share the results so all of us can provide
appropriate and meaningful sales incentives and employee reward
programs. Let’s give our sales force a source of motivation and not a meaningless magnet.
Ask your staff/co-workers/business contacts to take this poll. We’re curious to see how people want to be rewarded at work. https://www.facebook.com/#!/GoLeads
